All hail Queen Kate (Moss that is)

After starring on 33 covers of British Vogue since her debut in 1993 you would think Kate Moss would have achieved enough with the publication. She is now set to become a British Vogue magazine contributing fashion editor. Her first story is due to feature in the forthcoming spring issue.

No doubt she is more than qualified and will bring her wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry to the magazine.

“We are absolutely thrilled at Kate’s appointment,” said Sarah Doukas, founder of Storm Models, which represents Moss. “This is a natural development in her remarkable career. Bringing her unique sense of style and creative sensibility to Vogue is the perfect fit. She is the definitive Vogue cover girl.”

Moss can do no wrong in the fashion world and I have no doubt this will be a huge success. From her collaborations with Topshop and Mango to being a beauty ambassador with Rimmel London with her own range of lipsticks with them; everything she touches turns to gold and British Vogue will be no exception.

After the success of her first collaboration with Topshop from 2007-2010 Moss will now design a new collection to be sold in 40 countries in 2014.

“I have really missed being involved in the design process, and working with the team at Topshop. Now more than ever, with London being at the forefront of fashion it feels like I’m back home working with Topshop,” said Moss.

“Everybody loved her working with Topshop and Mango so this will probably be the same,” Sacha Solonevich, from Belarus who is a keen follower of fashion said.

“I am absolutely delighted that Kate is going to work with us in this new role,” Alexandra Shulman, editor-in-chief of the magazine said. “Her undoubtedly brilliant sense of style, depth of fashion knowledge and understanding of what makes a wonderful image will be exciting to see on the pages of BritishVogue. I am really looking forward to working with her on ideas.”

“I think it will be very successful because Kate Moss has so much experience in the fashion industry” Sacha said.

This is a very clever move by the magazine. Moss has a very loyal following the fashion industry and this will no doubt make this transmission a very smooth one indeed.

This will be big. Watch this space.

*Just a note; my video is a little out of focus, I tried to fix this when filming but I think there was a problem with the camera. Also I’m still a rookie but learning from my mistakes! 🙂
